Dave Emmerling is vice president of Strategy & Business Development at Pratt & Whitney. He leads strategic plan development and implementation to support Pratt & Whitney's overall strategic and financial growth goals, including acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and partnerships.
Dave has more than 15 years of experience in Strategy, Business Development and Supply Chain. Since joining United Technologies Corp. (UTC) in 2008, Dave has served in positions of increasing responsibility. In his most recent role, Dave led the Strategic Sourcing organization at Pratt & Whitney. During his time in Strategic Sourcing, the company executed long-term agreements with suppliers around the world involving a projected spend of more than $23 billion. Dave also served as a director of Group Strategy & Development for Pratt & Whitney.
Dave worked as an investment banker at Deutsche Bank and Legg Mason and as director of Mergers & Acquisitions at AAI Corporation before joining UTC. Dave also served in the U.S. Navy as a radiological and chemistry technician aboard two vessels, the USS Enterprise and USS South Carolina.
Dave holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Maryland. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
